Well, tomorrow is the big day! I am about 90% packed, and now it’s just down to the last-minute things that will inevitably arise. It has been a, well, interesting, few days: following a closet collapse and a computer catastrophe, everyone is slightly behind where they wanted to be at this point. However, the manta of “it will all be ready” has been tossed around a few times, so there shouldn’t be any worries. Fortunately, the excitement of the trip is overriding the other setbacks.
For those who don’t know, our plane leaves PIT tomorrow afternoon for JFK, then from JFK to CDJ in Paris, landing at 7:30a there. Forecast in Paris calls for a high in the low 70’s (or around 23 degrees celsius!) We will be in Paris for 4 days, then head to Normandy for 2 days, then over to London for 4 days before my program starts.
Depending on internet availability, I will hope to post almost every 1-2 days, just to give the updates on everything going on with us. If there isn’t a post for a few days, don’t fear for our safety – it’s probably just that we’re without access. Check back for pictures, updates on our trip, and some quality stories from our travels.
See you across the pond. And remember, as always, keep living the dream.
