BUT we have to talk about some of the weird things you do. (NOTE: this is a really frivolous list of things that don’t affect me in the very least – I really have no complaints at all!)
1. Separate hot/cold faucets on sinks. It’s just impossible to get normal warm water! I am forced to choose between scalding hot or freezing cold to wash my face and hands, sometimes with bad results.
2. Peanut butter is nowhere to be found. The three major chain supermarkets around my dorm do not stock it regularly, so I am sometimes left with only a J sandwich (minus the PB&).
3. Two words: “Brown sauce”.
4. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like people walk more slowly in London. I have no evidence to back this up, but as a self-diagnosed fast-walker, I find myself flying past people on the sidewalks when heading downtown.
In other news, I found a Steelers bar! There is a list of Steelers bars on the Post Gazette website, and The Famous Three Kings Pub is listed. Perhaps I will have to make a stop down for the game against the Vikings this weekend. Being out of the US during football season is certainly hard for a fan, although the NE-TB game this week is in London (but I don’t think that will be much of a game…)
