Sunday Kind of Love: BCN Marathon

Aren’t Sunday mornings usually connected with peace, tranquility, and sitting around in our collective pajamas?  Wish me luck this weekend as I run the 2012 Marathó de Barcelona on Sunday, March 25th!  It is a beautiful and interesting course – I am thoroughly convinced that they put pins in the map for the best sightseeing destinations in the city and then designed a course around them.  We’ll be hitting all the best sights: Camp Nou, the Illa de Discordia, Sagrada Familia, Torre Agbar, Villa Olympica, and Las Ramblas, all wrapped in a neat 42-km package.  Fortunately, I was assigned Lucky Number 12977 to carry me though the hard times.

After the race, my mom and I are going north to Switzerland for a few days in Zurich, Lucerne, and Interlaken.  I may even get some time to sit around in my pajamas!
